Less than 50 km south of Arctic Circle, the Tree Hotel located in northernmost province of Sweden. The Lapland province is also famous for northern light, midnight sun, and Europe last remaining wilderness area, and home to Europe ‘s only indigenous people, The Samy.
Tree Hotel was founded and built by Kent Lindvall, and nurse Britta Jonsson-Lindvall. The couple, Kent and Britta, genuine and simple couple, but yet unusually creatives, and full of ideas, met with Jonas Selberg Augustsén, a film maker which at the time making a film called Trädälskaren (The Tree Lover), and Britta thought that it would be a shame that such nice tree house would just stand there in the forest and go to waste.
Long story short, with persistent and hard-working, finally Kent and Britta managed to gain international recognition from press and designer, and the hotel has naturally earned a place on may bucket list. Today the Tree Hotels has attracted everyone, from international celebrities, designers and fashion magazines, to ordinary people wanting to experience something as unusual as staying in a Tree-house.
A childhood dream with a touch of luxury and flair.
